IMPORTANT Re-opening Information
The Library will open to the public with limited capacity, services, and hours beginning Tuesday, May 19 at 10:00am. We’re excited for this next phase and ready to see patrons, but PLEASE READ THE FOLLOWING so you know what to expect!
Limited hours open to the public:
Tuesday – Friday 10:00-4:00
Closed on Sunday and Monday
-During these hours, the library will be open at a limited capacity for checkout, return, and quick browsing only. Please be prepared to wait to enter if we have reached our safe capacity.
-Curbside Delivery will still be available and will remain the safest way to check out materials.
-The rear entrance (back parking lot side of the building) will be for library entrance/exit, while the Gilbreath St. entrance (circular drive) will be locked and used only for Curbside Pickup.
-Those coming inside the library are strongly encouraged to wear face masks and sanitize their hands upon entrance. We also ask that families limit the number of people entering and maintain a safe distance of 6-feet from others at all times.
-Public computer use is available by appointment for essential tasks related to tax filing, census reports, unemployment benefits, school assignments, etc. Call to set up a time.
-The book drop is open for returning materials.
-Meeting rooms, lounge/reading areas, and children’s play area will be closed.
-No library or community programs/meetings will be held at this time.
-No donations of books or other materials can be accepted at this time.
-WiFi is available in the library parking lot – “ASC-librarywifi”
-No fines on overdue materials
-The annual Summer Reading Program will primarily take place online. Stay tuned to the Guntersville Public Library website and Facebook page for updates.
-As always, the library has a wealth of online resources available, including digital ebooks and audiobooks to enjoy at home. Please call if you need help accessing any of these services.
